I had a "First" happen in my life today. My first tattoo! I was so excited. My best friend's talented son has a shop, and she went with me and held my hand. It was an adventure and I will cherish the memory each time I admire the ink!

It is lovely. Don't forget to put sun pretection lotion on it, or the colors will fade quickly.

Congratulations, but be careful - it can be addictive! LOL.

and expensive!

I have heard it can be addictive. I'll be careful!

Nice! I love Celtic knots. Got one on my shoulder.

Congrats!!! The ankle area is actually quite a painful location for a tattoo. You did well.

You and others on this site have gotten tatoos. Now you're making me think about it...

Looks great, like the color.

@Hebert54 Those stupid Lincoln commercials have taken their toll.

Wonderful. Life is short. Experience whatever you want! It is lovely.

Looks fantastic! How did you decide what to get. Red Cross says I lived in Europe too long and doesn't want my blood, so from time to time, I think about getting one.

@Hebert54 I lived in England & Spain for about 10 years, beginning in '96, during the mad cow scare. Keep hearing about a blood shortage, but am turned away when I go to donate. The phlebotomists in the blood mobiles are great, not their fault that the administration can't put out a coherent message.

@Hebert54 I was stationed in Germany for two years, 1983-85, I can't donate either for the same reason.

@germangirl90439 Fulda, Hesse. Loved it there, awesome cultural experience.

@MacTavish @germangirl90439 @Herbert54 Was lucky enough to go to Garmisch several times, Aachen & Strassburg. Amazing places!

@chalupacabre I crashed and burned at Garmisch several times, learned skiing was not for this guy.
I want to go back to Germany sooo bad, I'd love to stay for a couple years again. Love to experience another Rosenmontag.

Show me a man who has no tattoos, and I'll be more interested.

I don't have graphics on my car either!
Over the years I've heard enough holes in myself by accident don't need any on purpose.
And it is a nice design.

@germangirl90439

Ha ha!

I don't know what to tell you but it is your first! It is pretty.

Very cool ?

Beautiful and classy looking. I love the way the Celtic knots intertwine. Did you design it yourself?

MikeEC Level 7 June 22, 2018

I wish I had. Found the design on the internet and fell madly in love with it.

Hope you're Irish!

I was born a Murphy!

I considered it, but the blood thinners make it an iffy proposition for me. That is a good one, looks great on you!

Thank you.

Wait until you are 79 and it is faded

Marine Level 8 June 22, 2018

A faded tattoo may be the least of my worries at 79.

@germangirl90439 It hurts then

Marine you're being terribly negative. Is that your usual modus operendi?

@germangirl90439 Not only will it need new color it will need a new theme because it gets distorted.

Nice! I got my first and so far only tat a few years ago. All us girls have Kokopeli in honor of one of my daughters specifically and also a solidarity thing. It was a bit painful! I laughed because I had to focus on something...like during childbirth! I will get another. Just don't know where....

Great design - I love small tattoos.Well done!

I hate tattoos.

@germangirl90439
but apt for tattoos !

Oh, please do not get one.

@Spinliesel
OK ! Thank you.
