If you can stop a flat earther, I’ve got a project for you.
@MichaelSpinler maybe enough of them will join space force to quell the spread of this disease? Maybe?
Congratulations!
@MichaelSpinler you're welcome
Mount Olympus is filling up
@MichaelSpinler I'm sure Admin/Zeus has saved you a seat
So I gave up believing in my favorite gaseous vertebrate and all I got is this lousy tee shirt?
@MichaelSpinler I'll respond later after I've googled anti-theist gnostic atheist. Is that from the Department of Redundancy Department? LOL
@MichaelSpinler Oh, I'm certainly an anti-theist for the reasons you mentioned. It was the gnostic atheist part I didn't get. I've always been a nonbeliever in organized religion but I'm not sure what belief to replace that with. It's hard to believe in nothing. I tend to think our existence is more scientific than spiritual, but again, that leaves a lot of questions unanswered. So I guess I'm a straight up agnostic.
@MichaelSpinler Makes sense. I wish religious zealots would understand that early humans had no explanation for natural scientific phenomena so they ascribed them to gods who always seem to be petulant and punitive. I would hate to live that way, believing that someone is keeping score and might send my everlasting soul to hell. Truth is, I needn't worry. I'm a lot more Christian in my thoughts and deeds than many Christians I know. I do think there's a common pool of consciousness, and that we don't just "go away" when we die... but who knows. When you think about the universe, size is relative. An atom looks like a solar system, and could well be. The ant crawling on the ground has no idea we exist. Could be that there are other beings occupying the same space that we're unaware of.
Thanks for the Michael Sherman reference. I'll check it out.
Well done, sir. Well done.
@MichaelSpinler I don’t know if I’m worthy.
