"What happens to you or I when we break a law?" There are different laws with different penalties. Separating children from parents is draconian. There is no justifying inhumanity.

Would a liberal support a agenda if it reduced their wages, raised their taxes?" Yes, if the standard of living stayed the same and we had better roads and schools because of it.

"What is wrong with protecting your home? Your family?" Nothing except we are suffering more from guns than we are being protected by them.

"What's wrong with forcing the government to stop working for profits and start working and protecting the citizens of the country they serve?" By law, governments are non-profits. Government was created to serve the people - and they do. It is special interests, corporations and the richest 1% who own them who are for-profit and exploiting our citizens.

"What's wrong with the existing immigration laws where there is a true vetting path for citizenship?" The existing vetting laws are obsolete and not restrictive and draconian enough for xenophobes.
