I figured out that I don't hate folding laundry. I only hate the getting started part of it.
I also learned that the amount of time I spend putting it off is directly related to the number of dryer sheets I find when I'm done. ?
I find the most difficult part of almost any chore is just getting started. Once started then it goes along fine until I am gone.
I don't do dryer sheets. The washer has an automatic feature that adds liquid pabric softener during the rinse cycle. I find the liquids work better than dryer sheets for softening fabrics.
But it feels good when we are done. (he says looking a full basket of clean laundry)
Living alone I seldom fold laundry the conventional way. Socks and underwear are thrown into a drawer, shirts hung up, and pants are folded over the back of a chair. I do this in a way that I can know where everything is at and I do not use dryer sheets. I also use Dollar Tree detergents at a capfull only.
I don't use dryer sheets. They'll cause a film on your lint filter and cut the air flow if you don't wash the filter regularly. I use liquid in a Downy Ball.
I fold my laundry straight out of the dryer. Sometimes it doesn't make it out of the basket but at least it's folded.
Dry your clothes on a washing line. Better for the environment and saves money. I dry mine outside even in winter (as long as its dry). Also the wrinkles drop out. I like doing laundry and ironing but I get so little time to do it I end up with a laundry mountain.
Also ironing is very therapeutic.
Chores ? what is that ? hire a maid !
I had an old guy teach me how to fold at a laundry mat. Hell... i got fast than a Chinese person after a month or so. Good too.
Good too ? You or the chinese person ?
@VAL3941 me as good as them...
When I have a chore I don't want to do (folding laundry, emptying the dishwasher), I set my timer for 7 minutes. That's all I have to do, It gets me started, and it's amazing what you can do inn 7 minutes. Then I can go back to my book. lol
