What is your position on abortion.
Personally I think it is very avoidable but the same people who are against it are also against everything that would prevent it.

It's not a form of birth control there are far more less dangerous ,painless , psychologicaly safer ways for birth control . It's a big choice that has its own burdens and problems . If the proper education for birth control and sti prevention was properly available there would be far less need for the procedure . But as usual those not educated enough on the subject barhe in and make an entirely bigger mess of things

It, it is, indeed, a form of "birth control." When the cluster of cells is removed, no birth will happen.

Whether she is unable to get pregnancy prevention medication, or whether she is completely ignorant as to how and when humans are fertile and can get pregnant, or whether her pregnancy control medication failed, and on and on and on -- abortion is a valid medical procedure to reverse whatever caused the fertilization of the egg.

I quite agree with you. Early and frequent education and accessibility to pregnancy prevention medications will make a HUGE difference.

@BlueWave not in the sense pro-lifers refer to it they try making it seem like putting on a condom when it is far from that

i agree with you. i think there are a lot of choices made that can avoid the necessity. i did not go that route despite two unwanted pregnancies when we were young. She was ready, I was not. i think how much better my life and theirs would have been if she had waited until I had my career started. i can tell you the moment I as ready....sitting in my office and content. My son was 8, daughter 5. There was a lot of anger and resentment during those 8 years, so I hate when people give the sage advice of just go for it, There is never a good time.

The MEME is inaccurate as posted. It should read "Ending legal abortion. . ." What pro-lifers don't realize, among many other things, is that without available legal abortions, women will seek illegal dangerous procedures, or even do it themselves. Ending legal abortion will bring back the back-alley abortions with the heartbreaking effect that more women will die from botched procedures.

We could significantly decrease the number of awful, horrible, no good abortions if we had better sex education and pushed better birth control.

Unfortunately a large percentage of the pro-life club don't actually want fewer evil abortions, they want everyone else to live up to the religious standards they cannot achieve. I've known of several devout women who ended up getting abortions and even one LDS dad who paid for an abortion. Obviously their deeply held religious beliefs are for others to obey, but ok for them to flaunt.

Poor word choice in the voting, very very few are "for/pro" abortion but many are pro-choice regarding abortion legislation.

I am and always have been pro-choice. However, I also feel that abortion should not be used as a form of birth control, especially when we have such a wide range of safe options to prevent conception.

So, abortion should be safe, legal, and rare.

between a dr and patient reputable dr will not let a woman use abortion as a method of birth control her body can't take it

If its safe and legal, why should it be rare?

@Tejas in my opinion only, it should be rare, because babies should be wanted and loved, not accidents, or mistakes.

We have ways to prevent conception So every baby can be loved and wanted.
