The only thing I can think of which might aid in discourse of all types would be a definitions page. A simple list of terms perpetually argued about, Like Atheist, Agnostic, Skeptic and so forth
On said page the terms could be listed showing how most people here use each term, and hence what people mean by the term.
We would need a poll to determine how the 2/3 majority used each term MOST
and list secondary usages as well.
If two people are discussing atheist, and one thinks "Atheists are people who do not believe in God", but the Atheist in question defines as "Non-believer, period", miscommunication follows more oft than not.

The same thing could be done in politics. With politics we might include the political compass, and ask people to use that as a reference to others on policy positions.
