My 2 together weigh about 20 lbs, but true, all of this, even the taking of the bed/covers. They can develop the weight of lead at will!

Some of those, yes. I had a golden that I loved training. He was best dog ever. However, there was no doubt in his mind I was the boss. I was and always will be the Alpha. He only got on the bed when invited and if I gave him "that look" he slipped off very quietly.

I have a German Shepherd, and most of the "house rules" apply, except he knows he's not allowed on the furniture or in the bed.
