Surviving in this economy with only one job better start praying. Housing food and transportation
are necessities minimum wage full time will provide for one.

It certainly did for me in the 70's. Then along came Reagonomics, which is why we can no longer have nice things.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics consumer price index, the dollar experienced an average inflation rate of 4.00% per year. Prices in 2017 are 530.9% higher than prices in 1970. In other words, $10 in the year 1970 is equivalent in purchasing power to $63.09 in 2017, a difference of $53.09 over 47 years.
