Hah! You beat me to it.

@Holysocks Wanna be friends?

@Donotbelieve
Sure!

@Holysocks Yay!

@Donotbelieve
See? We both have a friend now!

Me me me me?

@Holysocks Ignore that Dave guy, he's a dweeb.

@Holysocks, @CallMeDave smile007.gif

@Donotbelieve Sir dweeb to you

@CallMeDave Ha. In your dreams, sir dweeb.

Damn it!

@Donotbelieve
I've never trusted people with first names like Steve, John, Chris, or Sir. (Watch out. He may try to trick you)

@Holysocks Your instincts are spot on, bff.
Dave is, indeed, a tricky tricky guy.

@Donotbelieve
I've never had a bff before! smile002.gif Do the instructions come in the mail?

@Holysocks No idea, this is new to me, as well.

@Donotbelieve
Well, since we are such good friends, we should know a little about each other. I'll go first. I tend to breathe a lot. (Blushes)

@Holysocks Wow! No way?! Me, too!

@Donotbelieve We have SOOO MUCH in common already!

@Holysocks Yeah, totally.
I like food, sleep, water, and funny people.

@Donotbelieve
Have you ever seen birds? :/

@Holysocks OMG, have I ever!

Are you my twin? WTH?

Wait
Wait....I gotta calm down...

Do you, oh my gosh....do you know how many effing birds I have seen?!

This is getting weird, but good weird, yaknow?

@Holysocks This will cinch it...

Do you sleep with your eyes closed?

@Donotbelieve
Oh my BOB! Of all the things we have in common.... I am completely typeless! (Except just then)

@Holysocks We should make a pact or something.
At least a spit shake, but I've heard those taste nasty.

@Donotbelieve
We could try a pinky swear, but my fingers have never been known for using foul language...

@Holysocks Oh, boy. Mine sure have.

@Donotbelieve Ok. Maybe just this once. After all, we are in tight.

@Holysocks solid

@Donotbelieve As solid as something that... Ummm... Can't be moved and hurts if you sit on it!

@Holysocks solid as a rock/boulder?

@Holysocks Check ya later, bff. I gotta go do one of our favorite activities...and eat!

@Donotbelieve Enjoy, my bestest buddy ever!

Rock climbing. Partners are almost a must. Also, finding pot led to connections. These were mostly the same people. Best I've ever known and I miss them sometimes.

Pretty much an introvert so more acquaintances than friends

After High School, I was a Sound Man for bands. My friends were, for a long time, the musicians in the bands I worked with. I have meet some people through MeetUp. There was also some Yahoo groups. And before the Internet, there was a social group from Leisure Learning Unlimited.

Some I met through work, most through common interests. I have friends from a writers' group I'm very close with.

Most of my friends since college are people I met through music, either at concerts or festivals or through people I met at concerts or festivals. For three years I have been hosting a weekly open mic and have made some really good friends through that.

When I first went to Alaska in the mid 80's I worked at a fish cannery. It was brutal, with long hours and terrible conditions. But there were a whole lot of good people doing that same type of work. I still consider those people my closest friends as time has progressed on.
More recently I made some great friends via other friends and we all shared some common interests; music, yoga, outdoors activities. And being a bunch of single women in the mid 40's and early 50's we kind of bonded.
I hope I can find some good friend like these again.
