So I got divorced. I am a dude so of course I got fucked. Finances are tough. I bought a used car. I love it! But this car has almost 290,000 miles. It is a Jeep Cherokee Grand Laredo. I plan on driving this fucker for at least 50,000 miles. I got it dirt cheap. I hate loan payments. I own my car. It takes me where I want to go. That is all that matters to me.

Hmm, she got 70% I did get the kids, and she never contributed a cent to their upbringing before or after the divorce.She got house, boat, car, all furnishings and equipment, I got an unfurnished unit with a mortgage. But, I did get the kids, 20 years later, I have 2 young adults I spend a lot of time with. HAHA, I won, she is a lonely old lady in a big house, sadly she is able to travel around the world every year and has more money than she can spend. But like you, I am happy with what I have.

My car guys regularly service vehicles that have driven 200K+ miles. And they have pictures of 400k and 700k cars that have stopped by to visit.
I have purchased 4 cars from them. Two with replacement engines.
(They pay their techs salary. No shit, ever.)

@archer5691 Perhaps. Narcissists are excellent at hiding money and making divorce hell. I started over from nothing and am glad to be free, because my emotional health is priceless.
@archer5691 Unfortunately, seems like divorce seldom turns out well for either party. Attornies do well though.
@rogueflyer Oh, I don't know. If you have been in an awful relationship then surely it must be heaven to not longer be with that person.
@rogueflyer, @archer5691 Maybe they do, but that may have something to do with women having to have the main burden of bringing up the children.
