Needing some beach time...leaving for Galveston Island, TX next week. Advice, suggestions on things to do? Favorite hole in the wall restaurant /bar? Any cool beach area for solitude? Love finding beach glass and shells

Also about 20 miles west is Surfside, I’d prefer that beach to Galveston’s

We are in agreement...been going to Surfside since 1987...lol the first beach house we stayed in ...is ocean now! Erosion
I enjoyed the Poop Deck, couple beers and crappy pool table a few years back. Trashy hole in the wall, but comfortable.
