Anybody know the laws on teaching creationism in Australian schools?
I had a prep interview at Genesis Christian College for my daughter.
They asked how I felt about my daughter being taught religious studies. I jokingly said ‘as long as you’re not teaching creationism in science class’ to which she replied ‘evolution is just a theory’.
Needless to say, we’re not sending our daughter there.

Sorry but gravity is a law. Ohms law on the other and is a theory, as all the instruments used to prove it are calibrated on ohms law. So I ask if they would like their house rewired by someone who went to the will of Allah school of electrical engineering?
How the Earth revolves around the Sun is a theory. Gravity is a theory. Tell them that shit! If it's a PRIVATE school I'd guess it's illegal, but I know in Sweden it is illegal to teach religion as truth. When I was in Jr High (in the US) I remember they put a disclaimer in science books about evolution. I do from time to time for medical attention go to a hospital called Christian Health Institute. Unless I go to the ER, I will go 30 miles farther round-trip for another office!

It is true Evolution is a theory , yet makes a hell alot more good sense than one Religion out of millions of Religions.
If you can re arrange another financial solution or know how your daughter feel about that particular college It would be helpful in making your final choice.
