Summary

I think it depends on the topic discussed, some topics generate strong detailed responses, and I love that we have the freedom to do that on this understanding site of open minded freethinking people. Best thing ever. Maybe a summary at the beginning of a longer post? That'll help people decide to read on..or not. Perhaps use some of the formatted text options?

I haven't thought about this before but I just checked and there is in fact a Block button at the bottom of the profile page, so I guess if a person found another persons posts to long winded and perhaps annoying, or for whatever reason really, they could block them and thus not have to see those long winded posts anymore in the future.

I love tangents, they can be the cream on top. Probably structure is everything, structure the reply with a quick summary style reply first, and then if anyone wants the long version they can read more details below.

I am prone to being long-winded and including information (relevance is subjective) no one asked for in my responses to questions and posts. I think it happens because I have numerous thoughts on many topics and sometimes, I get side-tracked. I also think that some things require more than one or two sentences in response.
I wouldn't dare speak for anyone else, of either gender.
