Truly Effective Prayer (Funny):

Telemarketers bugging you? Pray WITH them! Got a call yesterday from someone I could barely understand, pushing his tech-support company services, even though I’m on a do-not-call list.

So I said “Hey, I’m glad you called. Would you mind if I prayed with you for a moment?” After he stammered for a second he said “Um, okay.” I continued, “Dear Lord please help my new friend find comfort in you as well as a job that does not annoy people. Please keep him in your…” before I could say anymore, the guy apologized for calling and promised to remove me from their list. Go figure!

Win-win situation. No harsh words, a kind message and a high possibility he won’t be calling again.
