Hoovering means "sucking the life out of you," according to Urban Dictionary.

I had to look it up.

In the UK hoovering means using a a vacuum cleaner...ha ha

I need reading glasses...I was going to answer that "hoovering" could be fun as long as you controlled the suction...oops! ha ha...Guess I have hoovered...and hovered...
