If karma was real wouldn't people just stop doing bad things?

I think it has to do with time and event. A bad karma event is not fixed by a good karma event, nor necessarily in one's lifetime (reincarnation). Karma or what goes around comes around. Event's happen -- there is nothing magical or counted for or against one.

Nope. A lot of peopel who believe in karma still do bad things.

As long as we don't hurt anyone else, all bets are off and we should do all crazy things while we can

Karma is subtle and elusive, it’s vapor.

No...because people in their immense ignorance 1) Don't see themselves as doing anything wrong and 2) In those rare occasions they realize they did they say to themselves "I won't be caught".

Carmen is real and I read that she will bite you in the ass.

BTW, why do good things happen to bad people? It rains on everybody unless you are inside or have an umbrella.

I'm looking for Carmen. She sounds like fun. 🙂

No way of answering that question because Karma is only a concept and isn’t real. The fact that people who believe in it still do bad things sort of refutes their belief in it in my eyes. I don’t know why people, when faced with demonstrably unreliable evidence, still persist in their beliefs.

Even if Karma is real , there are people who are so full of angur that they are willing to accept hurt to themselves , as long as they can make others hurt as well .

I don't think so, because the negative consequence doesn't need to happen right after the bad behavior, according to any of the ideas of karma that I've heard about. Except Instant Karma, I guess that might work!
