Was life in the 1980`s simpler?
They did way more coke.
Not me never even tried it , I did see a lot of people dive down that hole though.
Yes....in that we didn't have the internet or social media. We had moved from written news, to radio, then to TV...and while it did change things, the format and input feed wasn't as overwhelming as it is today. It's a lot easier to fact check, but now we are aware of so much more, that checking facts on everything we're told is near impossible. I believe being inundated with so much data is forcing us as a species to evolve. There is no way our old analog brain can receive, process, evaluate, and act upon all the digital information we are receiving today.
In that way it was simpler. Survival was always hard, for many of the reasons other have mentioned, but now you have to work more, for essentially less (TY - Federal Reserve), and also process so much data being thrown at you. It's no wonder so many turn their brains off; they can't deal with it.
Simpler than what? 80s fashion was complicated and confusing, according to 80s music everybody apparently thought they were going to die from a nuclear bomb (personally I didn't), AIDS came along and took all the fun out of sport-fucking, yuppie scum were convinced greed was good...I wouldn't call it all that simple. You must be thinking of the 40s and 50s.
I was in excellent physical condition pain-free. HIV and AIDS were around a long time just hit the media in the 1980`s they speculate Hitler actually exploited HIV and AIDS during WWII. The punk dress up was a tad odd.
sure was, no marriage, no kids, no mortgage. now after 30 years, divorced, two full grown boys and had to split the house sale, which she didnt contibute to on the purchase
