I agree that we should all use metric, but it’s not as simple as just learning it, it’s unacceptable here, we ‘can’t’ use it. And just like the comedian said, launguage will evolve in different parts of the world, however most mutations are bad. We are just as much the victims as we are at fault for using incorrect pronunciations, however iv never had a hard time understanding a British person with just a little context. Yes it can be annoying and there are extremes, but most accents do this among a common language in different lands, not just America. There are plenty of ignorant Americans, but that goes for the whole globe. People in the Philippines think Americans are stupid and their own education is dirt, it’s all just stigmatized.
