I'm enjoying posting to these boards but it occurs to me that I'm doing a lot of work for no compensation. The very notion is un-American. To address this, I'm going to set up a GoFundMe that you can contribute to if you've read my posts or comments and feel compelled to pay me for having entertained or informed you.
Minimum donations will be $1 for reading my comments and $5 for reading my posts. You will be able to retroactively pay me for my previous posts/comments once the account is set up.
Let's gauge interest here with a poll.
Pay me! I'm totally worth it.

Drop and give me 20
Good luck with this. Soon you'll be raking in many, many dozens of cents. You're well on your way to funding yourself a small order of fries at McDonald's.
Is this a joke? If not, boo! And I have no need for your services.
You read my stuff. Pay me!
Thats not how it works.
You need to get advertisers involved in your posts so when we read them they pay you hoping we will mistakenly click on some irrelevant ad.
...also donations are not very American either unless you offer a tax break. Seems to me capitalism is more about people liking to keep their money not giving it away for things that are free
@Sgt_Spanky
A parody is a work that’s created by imitating an existing original work in order to make fun of or comment on an aspect of the original.
Sure...and "if that is true and I got it" my comment could also be defined as such, no?
none of the above. no one is forcing you to provide content. we all assume you do it for pleasure, as indeed i do. it is one thing to ask someone to buy something, then provide a price or ask for a donation in payment if the person buys, or to submit writing to a paying site and expect the agreed-upon compensation. it is another to be offered a chance to express oneself, without the chance of rejection for being inept, or displeasing, or otherwise unprofessional, and then expect payment on top of that. you may as well ask facebook to pay you. this is a place to communicate with others of like interests, not a paying venue for your "work." if you consider it work, you should probably find a paying venue for it. this isn't one.

I'm beginning to think this isn't going to become the goldmine I had hoped it would. What if I offered a 10% off coupon? Would that do it for ya?
I'll sweeten it even more: 10% off and a coupon for a bag of prunes!
Nice try. Here's a tip, add nudity.
Here ya go -- pay me.
@Sgt_Spanky check is in the mail.
