My fellow Texans, how do y'all feel about Ted Cruz saying that school shootings happen because we don't allow God in schools?

He should lose his govt. job that's what I think. Separation of church and state.

I'm an Arizonian but I live in a very red part of the state but even here I don't hear that BS. I also saw where Beto got booed for standing up for sensible gun regulation. I'll stay here.

Not in Texas, but I think Ted Cruz is a despicable person.

Well let's see; Texas is about 93% Christian and has school shooting on a pretty much annual basis.

Japan, on the other hand, is about 2% Christian and has never had a school shooting.

I'm comfortable calling "bullshit" on this...

I'm an ex Texan of 20 years and my daughters have picked up this idea on Facebook. It is totally wrong. In fact, you can still pray in school if you want to. It's just that nobody wants to hear you do it and the classroom will not follow you in prayer.

As a former resident of TX, I think one of the reasons school shootings happen is because idiots like Cruz put forth this ridiculous reason instead of doing or even allowing the actual problem to be studied. When you don't have any good or politically acceptable ideas, just turn to God?

Like I want to kick him in the baby maker and say “this just happened because you and your folks just won’t stop talking stupid shit.”

Cruz is a disgusting, uninformed slug. He doesn’t care about god anymore than I do. It’s a play to the religious base for support.

Shootings happen at churches.

Endgame.
