Well, I lost another facebook friend. Someone I went to High School with posted some disgusting memes about Christin Blasey Ford. Not just political posts, but slanderous things. I posted a story from The Guardian yesterday, about how tribalism is threatening the constitution. Not sure if anybody read it, but you should. I'm having trouble believing how bad things are getting in this country.

I unfriended him.
@tnorman1236 I don't usually do that but I keep on hammering at them about the stupid, hurtful, disgusting things they post and I make it personal to them, but sometimes one just have to un friend them too.
I've seen some truer colors in "friends" since covfefism took hold. always disappointing. I have found those discussions with them completely pointless. but it's almost guaranteed to damage or destroy a friendship.

I understand. I'm at constant odds with a friend of 40 plus years who thinks I simply believe anything I read and he cannot understand why I hate Trump. He doesn't understand "fact checking" because anybody can say anything but my Trump hate must be on the same level as Whoopi Goldberg. She has her's coming, we are all ignorant, and Trump has the FBI and the CIA working right now on the arrests and imprisonment of the Clintons and the Obamas. It's coming, I will see it, and he will be around to tell me "I told you so" when it happens.
If you are losing this kind of friend I wouldn't worry about it much. I'm posting this because everybody has at least one moron friend. My problem is that I keep meeting others who think like this. Help!

The tribalism is becoming intolerable but I am the last one to know the remedy. I imagine most of us have lost friends and possibly family. Sorry.
