One thing North America does NOT do bigger and better than the UK is.. baths.

I mean, the average bath at home allows you to lie almost horizontal and have a proper good soak without having to bend the knees 😀. If I ever lived in North America I would have to fiddle with the plumbing and install an adult sized bath I think 🛁

Bath or shower person - what are you?

I don't like making human soup and bathing in my own dirt so, showers all the way

@ValJ I was a warranty manager for a construction company for years all the ladies wanted the garden tub and all the guys just wanted a shower I'm not really into bubble baths but I'm with some other folks that have commented on this post get a hot tub

Having been born in Europe I started out taking baths and after moving to America I've only had showers. Recently I decided to take a bath (first one in maybe 15 years!) and I was surprised at how much cleaner I got than by showering. I could feel it on my skin, and it hardly took any effort, I mostly just sat in the soapy water. Now, I know that the thought of sitting in that water does not seem too appealing but let's think about it seriously. You are not sitting in mud (unless you've been rolling around in it) or feces (unless you've been rolling around in it), it's just your skin's oils. After you're done you rinse yourself off and dry yourself. You are cleaner and you feel better. A shower is quicker but a bath is definetly better.

If you want a hot tub, get a hot tub! I can never keep the water in a bathtub hot enough long enough. And I hate lukewarm water. Give me a hot shower with a strong spray or better yet a massaging spray, any day! Or a nice big hot tub on a cold winter day.

But the UK has shit showers. Really they are old ladies pee compared to French (I know) and (I suspect) USA.
Thats why I go for baths. Ease all the troubles away

God, I was just bitching about this the other day!

We do have you beat in wars, deficit & debt, infant mortality rates.

Wait a sec... Those aren't things to brag about.

@ValJ Got to Wyoming, Utah, Nebraska, either of the Dakotas. Most of the midwest too. We are so vacant around here. I have to drive about 1 hr roundtrup to get anything. I want a big bath so I can soak in it like it's a hot tub!

@ValJ Haven't been to Texas in 20-25 years. Why would I want to go there? Yes everything is bigger. Including egos. But a nice 2 hour bath wouldn't be bad!

I enjoy both, but it’s got to be a spa(jacuzzi) tub. I’m 5’10” and certainly don’t have to bend my knees in mine. Large baths are standard in Texas as are the large showers.

Both, but I use the bath for a good warm soak, after I’ve showered, not for washing myself. Usually just a shower though.

@ValJ I am a very thorough person in everything I do, but not boringly so, ?.

I am a shower person but I sure enjoyed the huge hot baths in Japan...you wash and rinse first, then soak...ahhhhhhhhhhh

Now that sounds relaxing. It's actually how I soak aching muscles. Shower and rinse, then soak in as hot a water as I can. Then ice cold for a bit.

I'm both with a preference for room for two. 😛

@ValJ I love it. We found it about a year ago.

Both, but removing my elderly body from my bath gets harder and harder.
