I believe it's the Brookings Library that has the Samurai Sword of the Japanese pilot who flew from a submarine off the Oregon coast and dropped incendiary bombs in the forest. He visited the the town after the war to apologize for what he did, not knowing how he would be received. He received an honorary citizen position and donated his sword to the town of Brookings.
