Everyone says their religion is the right one. So what about those that died and then found out they followed the wrong one ???

14 comments so far with several likes all over the place and yet not a single like and/or comment from the originator. Just keeping stats......

Perhaps they’re away thinking about the question some more. That would keep anyone (who asked) busy for at least a week or more trying to figure out the answer

@Hazydays Agree, anything is possible. However, the way I feel about someone posting something and then keeping quiet while everyone is chiming in, to me it's like making a phone call and when someone picks up then the caller says nothing. Isn't that weird?

@IamNobody the actions go hand in hand with the question if you ask me......just kinda weird from the beginning.

@Hazydays I've noticed this pattern lately where the account who post the original comment never come back to comment or answer anything. It seems as if the intent is to steer this site into arguments between us. It's just an observation. Of course I could be wrong.

i might add that not every religion says it's right and everything else is wrong. judaism is one religion (maybe not the only one, but the only one i know) that doesn't teach that only jews go to heaven and everyone else goes to hell, that judaism is right and everyone else is wrong. that just isn't part of judaism. in fact, jews have 613 commandments but judaism only demands of nonjews that they follow seven (not murdering, for example -- pretty universal and not unreasonable). jews do not proselytize and in fact although there are many converts, all would-be converts are officially discouraged three times, and you have to show you have a good reason for wanting to be a jew. so... i am not trying to tout judaism, but only to respond to the assertion that all religions say they are right and everyone else is wrong. i've just named and described an exception.

OK: Beyond the obvious (that we tend not to learn much after death ... ), the attitude that "my gods are the only ones" is a feature of monotheism. Polytheistic faiths tended to believe that it was natural for different peoples to have their own gods, and if your neighbors had a particularly intriguing one, it was OK to borrow it and add it to your own. Folks fought plenty of wars back then, but they didn't have what we think of as "religious wars." Those came with the dawn of the "world faiths" we know today.

I don't think it's possible for someone to give a second thought about his religion after his death, for all his senses stop working forever upon his death.

It sounds like a good question except for the fact that they would be dead and not find out anything. That ability all stopped when they died.

What about them? They're dead! Are you expecting some wisdom from them??

no one who died found out anything. they're dead.

They’re all following the wrong one. Because there isn’t a right one. Your question makes no sense. Think it through. ?

They're dead, we'll never know ....

On two levels, your question qualifies as a "loaded question fallacy" as it

*1: Asserts the not demonstrated existence of a life after death. (face-palm)

*2: Fallaciously asserts "everyone says their religion" This assertion is demonstrably wrong as I, ( a member of the subset everyone and and over four hundred fifty millions other humans that identify as atheist do not a have religion). Religion is a belief system founded on faith (belief without evidence) Atheist. (not accepting the faith based assertion that a god exists) is not a religion as does not requires faith to not accept the positive faith based claim that a god exists. Burden of proof.

This why religion is always in the win win situation, A) if they are right no one comes back to talk about it because it is bliss, B) if thy are wrong no one comes back because they have ceased to exist, but the priest can still claim option A for them.

They are goners.

When someone dies they become like God... They don't exist.
