Your thoughts on what happened yesterday when that father of three Nassar's victims asked for five minutes with "that demon"... 265 victims, is insane!!!

While I understand his want I can't agree with how he went about it.

He had to know he wouldn't be granted his request, and he had to know it wouldn't work to attack in the courtroom. It wasn't a situation where Larry was suddenly exonerated and the dad lost control.

As such I have to assume the entire thing was an act, and thus I can't really see it as anything more than sad.

I know it's an emotional response, but it's a common issue that should b stopped. Its got to be the dumbest reaction possible. My daughter's were victimized and I didnt stop it, so let me get sent to prison for 20 years so it can happen more and I won't be able to do anything at all. Its upsetting to see people letting their emotions take precedence over parenting.

Give him one minute for each daughter! The damage done would take days to heal,". The doctor's damage will take years to heal! He got off easy. The father deserved to be let off.

I would give him 5 minutes and much more.

Couldn't help but wonder if he wasn't acting for future attention. Get on big brother or something.

Can't blame that Father at all. After listening to so much horrendous testimony, and then sitting directly across from the scum who abused three (!) of your daughters , I can only imagine the intense rage he was feeling ... And he did apologize to the court and all present, after things settled down.

But he needn't worry, I suspect all of Nassar's openings will be well used by inmates - especially once the word gets out. Chances are good - he may be killed, and not humanely.

If it was my child or family I would probably try to get to him also. I can understand why he did it. I have nephews and nieces that are like my own kids and since I do not have any kids of my own I tell my family if anyone does anything to them, let me handle it. I will gladly go to jail for taking care of the person who hurts them, because they need to be there to raise and provide for them.

I can understand his emotional pain and the need to destroy the cause of that pain. His statement at the press conference made it clear he understood that he had lost control and it was the wrong thing to do.

A parent is supposed to protect their children and when they place their trust in another and it is betrayed to that extent the guilt has to be unbearable. I'm glad he was not punished more than just a few hours in a holding cell.

I can sympathize and empathize with their feeling, anger, and grief, but violence, vengeance and revenge is never an answer or a solution. (IMHO)

I know your right, but I understand that kind of raw emotion.

It is what the legal process is for and to prevent.

@Decieven. Agreed. Prevent further abuse, as the judge said prevent eye for an eye revenge. Prevention of the crime in the first place? Some perhaps as yet unknown pre-emptive treatment?

@VirginCotton In danger of being pedantic,I believe that the police are supposed to deter, prevent, protect citizens form crimes happening, detect and investigate crimes after they have happened. Certainty of solving the crime and apprehending the culprit is supposed to be a deterrent and prevent people from thinking about committing the crime. One needs to know the law to be able to avoid breaking the law (not always the case). Police state? Create laws that are extremely easy to use in almost any situation to convict someone eg. 3 or more people meeting together can be a crime, loitering too long (whose definition is too long?) in an area, being in possession of an offensive weapon (a walking stick?) or burglary tools (a key?) There is a very controversial law, the law of joint enterprise which has been used to convict people just in the vicinity of a crime. My experience of the law and police has been very disappointing leaving a lot to be desired, I am sorry to say.
