My favorite part of Halloween is lightly roasting the pumpkin seeds. Yumm! And so hard to stop eating.

Love the owl.
@Sydland thank you, I do paintings of them and have not carved a pumpkin in years so this was a challenge.

@Remi I will take a pic tonight. They are being used in the Haunted house at Ravine Gardens in Palatka Fl
I haven't done pumpkins in years.
However, I'm only posting to remind everyone NOT to throw your pumpkins in the trash when you're ready to get rid of them.
Take them to the woods, or if you have property, take them to a place where the squirrels (and other woodland creatures) can get to them (without pissing off your neighbors).
If you haven't used paint on them, your pumpkins can feed a lot of critters who may be having a harder time finding food during this time of year.

We used to toss ours into the cow pasture when I was a kid. Cows would sometimes play with them and one year a pumpkin plant appeared!
Yes, thank you! I already threw out the waste from hollowing and carving. My neighbors worry about critters and my daughter fusses at me for it, but I cannot bear to waste potential treats for the wildlife!

@ReadyforaChange I just draw with a marker and cut...had to get it done fast because we had trick or treaters that night!!! lol
