A good friend and I are toying with the idea of creating a sex ed blog containing content for both adults and children/teens based on the theory that if humans are to make good choices, they must first be informed of what those choices and the accompanying consequences are. I'm curious about what the response could be, though I'm sure we would not be the first to attempt it. Would you be interested in reading this material and possibly using it to educate yourself and your family?
Hmmm.... I'm 65 Nicki... lol. The wife's 60. Here's a joke for you.
An old guy starts to get restless and he rolls over and starts playing around with his old wife. Well they start to feel the urge and he climbs on and she holds on and they give it whirl. After about a minute the old gets off and he's worn out. The wife gives him a minute and rolls over and ask ( what's wrong honey? You couldn't think about another person ??? ) EITHER???...LOL.
Ha!
It's a great idea in theory but I fear you would have insurmountable legal problems. Even if you managed to avoid breaking laws that vary from state to state, anyone who wants to cause trouble for you could easily do so. So I'm not sure the idea is compatible with the Internet. Maybe offline in an open-minded community.
@WickedNicki what is your background and your friend's background in? Are you psychologists, social workers, sex therapists, etc. I have a social worker background and I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. I would leave it to the professionals.
If you blog would be based on accurate information and give good psychological advice, you could do some real good. If not, you could do some damage.
We're aiming to be as scientifically accurate and unbiased as possible. Purely fact-based information.
This sound reasonable, but without reading some first I'm not sure. So basically when you make it please let me know so I can make an opinion.
I will most definitely be posting when the blog goes live.
This is a way better idea than abstinence only education. Share the link, when it's up and running?
I absolutely will, thank you.
Yep! I'm all about getting the perspective of others even if it's well trodden ground. And hey, it's about sex.
If you need help setting up a Wordpress website, I can help.
Thank you. We're working on it now. My partner already has WordPress experience, so I think between the two of us we'll be ok. I'll be sure to give you a shout if we get stuck.
