A bit over two years now ... Oy.

Good thing my "vibe" is electric, and doesn't need batteries .

@Redcupcoffee My toys never let me down.

1.5 years between relationships.

We had a post about celibacy a while back. I won first prize: 10+yrs.

Currently in my longest 'dry spell'. On Valentine's Day 5 years ago, I got a phone call from my then boyfriend who said he was giving up sex for Lent. I told him to have a nice life and never spoke to him again.

About 600 words.

I use it before every drag race meeting to keep the rain away.

I race in England and it's pretty effective - we only get rain at 70% of meetings now!!!!

Can u share or is it like a secret family recipe or do I have to go to hogwarts or somethin

I moved to NY and will never get used to carrying an umbrella between June and September πŸ˜›

About 8 years while I was married. I know the last time my ex and I had sex. And knowing him, he is still in that dry spell. After we split I did not exercise good judgement a few times. More recently, I really don't remember the last time I created the beast with two backs. More than a year for sure.

After reading the comments I decided I needed to clarify. The ex is a web master of a xian website. He would get up early to work on the website before he went to work and therefore go to bed at 8 in the evening to get enough sleep. He also worked on the site after he got home from work. We had teenagers. When do you find out what is going on in teenagers lives? Closer to 11pm, that's for sure. So, he was already asleep when I'd get to bed, and I was pissed because he was never there for us. I still loathe that website. So, I never woke him up when I went to bed. And I could use my toys while he slept and never wake him.

@Redcupcoffee I have to see the ex about every other month, the kids like to do family celebrations, and the youngest and the grandchild now live in his house. He frankly needs a keeper. And yes, I only allow people to get close to me who support me and as you said care and nurture. Which is why I've been celibate for some time now. I'd rather be single and celibate than putting up with someone to not be alone. I don't mind being alone, I'm good company πŸ˜‰ and then there's those two crazy critters I live with.

this is very funny/great.
don't feel bad for experimenting once you found freedom from an 8 year long period where you couldnt be expressive, or feel someone's expression in return. you got it out of your system and you realize it doesnt suit you to be as open to doing it as often.

@godsKid I don't feel bad, however I realize I'm damn lucky I didn't get any souvenirs of my wild time. Apparently my demographic has a very high STD rate. I did unlearn how to be quiet.

So long I didn't understand the question until I started reading some answers. What can I say?

Very sadly, I'm currently working on two years. sob 😟

@Redcupcoffee @HippieChick58 Why am I getting likes for my misery? πŸ˜‰

@Paul628 for me it is an acknowledgement that you shared. I don't like your misery but I like that you are open enough to share. As for @redcupcoffee, my guess is she will tell you the same. Would you rather your participation in the conversation went ignored? And yeah, I take serious what you're poking fun. Gotcha.

@HippieChick58 @redcupcoffee
I was messing around. I too will like a post as a form of acknowledgment. πŸ‘

The last 27 years of my 32 year marriage

@Redcupcoffee I kept hoping...he was rather prudish even in the beginning, got weirder & weirder. I was always a DIY type in & out of bed.....first marriage was just horrific, so I kind of enjoyed the peace & quiet!

Since you are asking, what about you, RCC?

@Redcupcoffee First a "joke" with too much truth in it. For me.

What's the one food proven to kill a woman's sex drive?

Wedding cake.

I am assuming that four years was self imposed. Unless that is a photo you stole from somewhere, you can have it any time you want. I'm not suggesting that it is wrong to choosing to abstain. But, if you wanted "it" you'd have no problems.

8 long years

I love that people are open enough to ask and answer questions like these! Sex, about a week and I'm hoping to rectify that in a few days πŸ˜€.

My longest dry spell in general was of chocolate chip cookies (Seriously, I have a problem). I went a couple of months without one...and subsequently gorged myself on, like, 12 of those bad boys.

1

5 years, self imposed after the big D.

1

18 years from conception to the lovely hippie woman who was my first woman to choose me and teach me to love her

1

The current one, which is more than two years.

Dry spell sounds like you are conditioning this to be a negative thing or you view it to be a negative thing. That's just my assumption but, as a man, I can't believe it is that much of a detriment to you to be "dry" as women have a lot easier availabilities to attain "wetness"

1

What's a dry spell?

1

10 years, now.

1

If we are talking about alcohol, 50 years and counting. If we are talking about sex, aside from the first 17 years, probably about 6 months, unless masturbation counts.

1

If you are talking about what I think you are talking about, I'd say 0- 19 years old. I'm trying to think what the longest dry spell since I've been married. I'll guess six months.

0

5 years cuz my traumatic brain injury

about 6 mos.

August of 2013 to January of 2015.

I don't think that's specific enough. I need a day and time. πŸ˜‰
