Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Some people have legitimate problems and need pain meds. Their plight has gotten worse as all doctors that I have heard of have clamped down on their writing scripts. There needs to be closer supervision!

Yes! This is the side of the story that nobody talks about and it pisses me off to no end. As an occasional sufferer of kidney stones I can say that my quality of life has been majorly affected by this opioid issue. I used to be able to get adequate pain medication when I needed it. I never abused it or got hooked. Now the amount I get is pathetic and I have to take more than what is on the label to get relief. Now I look like some kind of junky when I ask for higher doses. Now I am told to simply deal with the pain.
Some people legitimately need pain medication. Now overdose and addiction is the fault of the FDA?

Many times the drs do not monitor the patient
WTF?!?! Is with the pain meds? I understand if you are dying - OH! wait that's the plan. Without healthcare many will need the pain meds cause they can't get decent medical help to start with.
