I'm sitting here crying because my friend has lost three loved ones in the last few months. If there was a god, this would not have happened. I'm sad and angry.

I am a firm atheist and I believe things happen totally randomly. No need to drag in fairies & myths, it isn't helpful.

I guess I'm mad that some people will still hang on to the concept of an intervening god no matter how bad things are.
Whilst I am sorry for your loss I don't quite get your logic 'not so good things are happening all the time whether there is a god or not; you may as well rant at the concept of randomness

I'm saying that if there were a god (like many believe in) this stuff should not be happening. Yes, it's random, but an intervening god could change that.
@Cabsmom ummm, nobody should ever die? Explain "stuff like this should not be happening?! Try reading Job........
So sorry for you and your friend Cindy. Hang in there. Can always come to chat room and discuss with friends.
