Nixon really was a total dick -- a racist, scheming, nasty bastard. It's funny that we can look back on him now and say, well he did a lot of good things. Everyone loved Reagan but he was another religious jerk who started the deficits-don't-matter insanity, Then Bush Sr. started integrating the religious idiots throughout government which his moronic son expanded. The recent history of Republican presidents is a monumental disaster of economic missteps, never-ending wars, and extreme neglect of crucial areas like the environment, health care, and concern for the underprivileged. So Trump came along, took one look at that and said, "I can make them all look good by comparison". Screw em!

I watched a series on the Vietnam War [imdb.com] a couple of months ago and was amazed to see the lengths Nixon was willing to go to deceive the American public. He deliberately sabotaged the 1968 peace talks between the US, and North and South Vietnam, promising the South a better deal once he gets elected. Need I say anything about the Watergate? Nevertheless, he was an angel on steroids compared to the idiot on the right.
