Doing Final wishes...going with Ocean Burial.
Low cost. Very green. Easy access living in Hawaii.
No vaults or crypts. Immediately back to cosmic dust = carbon cycle.
What's your plan?

Since I can't do a funeral pyre.... Probably straight into the ground (in a pine box) so I can feed mother nature.

Put my remains out in the forest and let nature have me so that I can give back to nature what I spent my life taking from it.

I help people with ash scatterings here on Kauai, and even one on Maui. Definitely low cost and is nice to gather folks together to commit the ashes back to the earth or the sea. Maybe a canoe paddle out or surf boards. I've seen some nice ash scattering tributes here in the islands, but haven't decided yet where I'd like to be.

I will mention some places to my kids where I'd be happy to have my ashes scattered or buried, maybe at my happy place at the end of my bike path, or would even be happy in the bay outside my window. (I'd join my neighbor there, and others.) There's also some cool spots, requiring a hike, or a long drive, but I think that might be a lonely spots. I'd rather have a place easily recognizable or easily visited.

Hopefully I have a few decades to decide. It will be up to my kids, maybe they could sprinkle me around a favorite tree or something.

Cremated, ashes mixed with my husband. It is what he wanted. After that, I don't really care. The kids can do what they want.

Cremation and dealing directly with a crematorium instead of an Undertaker. Current cost is $800. I guess I'm polluting doing it but Oklahoma doesn't have an ocean.

I want to be Tossed to the Wind in the Caribbean Sea.
