I just ran a test on intake of kale, which is supposed to increase blood oxygen and lower blood pressure. After drinking kale juice, my blood oxygen (measured with a pulse-oxy meter). My oxygen went from 92 to 96 and my blood pressure from 69 to 65. The added oxygen increases stamina and allows harder work-outs.

I think you'd have to give me COPD first? Maybe then I could drink it? Clothespin please...

Brave of you however!

If my mother had fed me kale, I'd have always liked it. I'm already to the point it is OK, but not appealing. Soon, I'll like it. Everything is an acquired taste, except sweet, sour, salty and bitter, which have taste receptors on the tongue. Everything else we "taste" is from aroma.

@EdEarl Truly I have actual allergies to food that is that deep green a color. I'm violently allergic to spinach so I'm not going to see what Kale will do. lol

Nice to know it has benefits. Other than being such a really green drink! 😉

I use kale (sometimes spinach) in my smoothies. I wonder how the effectiveness is altered by the fruit (banana and blueberries) and water I add.
