Oh yeah. I still watch it, but I only really loved the first five years. And I still miss Gilda.

@ProudMary My favorite skit of hers was The Judy Miller Show. Just carefree abandon as a little girl playing alone in her room.

Gilda Radner, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray (although I think he got a lot more funny as he aged), and Eddie Murphy (I think he peaked then). I liked these the most from that time, although many great performances by others

It's still funny...just not as funny. But that may have more to do with the times we live in than the not-ready-for-prime-time players.

Sometimes they still are. Trump has (inadvertently) helped with that a great deal.

With some exceptions, it's been mostly funny throughout its lifetime. Right now, they have a treasure trove of comic riches from the walking disaster that is the president. They can't help but be funny with such a wealth of material flowing out of the WH every day.

Funniest cast member ever: Will Ferrell
Least funniest cast member ever; Victoria Jackson
Funniest skit ever: Tie between Chippendale's Dance Audition and Cowbell

@Lutherzme That was Charles Rocket. In all fairness that whole 1980 season was a bust except for Piscopo and Murphy.

I used to watch SNL religiously....now I see only clips from the news.

Every now and then they will hit one out of the park, but it isn't anywhere like it was in the early years.

@ProudMary The Alec Baldwin Trump skits are usually pretty good.....

Eh not so long ago, it goes in cycles. Very few of their casts have just been awful all year and the classics get remembered more fondly because only the great sketches were memorable. The late 80s through the 90s had some brilliant casts. These days Kristen Wig and Keenan have been the best in their class but eh, not every cast can be a murderers row like the OGs and the 90s.
