Some women here talked me via text messenges, all telling me they were poor with no money to pay phone bills and no camera on phone and their phone numbers are not callable. Why are there so many liars.

I got a bridge to sell you!

Sounds to me as though you have an inclination to message the scammer types.

No!
All talked to me are like this, liars.

@JuliusZhu9811 On this site?! I've never exchanged messages with anyone like that on this site, and I've been here over a year. If it's someone messaging you out of the blue and eventually bringing up needing money, they're just scammers, they're not "all" women, and certainly not the vast majority of women on this site.

They are probably in Russia. It is a cottage industry over there. I know women who get the same messages. Ignore them

It isn't pretty dating at this age!

When someone messages you and asks for money, please let Admin know. We try to keep those types out, sometimes they sneak in. There are liars because lonely people are vulnerable and they are looking for easy targets. We are trying to keep the site safe for everyone, but you have to be aware of the risks. Scammers and leeches are my most-hated types of people. They make conservatives look like the greatest people in the world.

3

Report them to admin.

At least that's what I would do.

An easy way to make money. Could be a guy pretending to be a woman . . .

Reminds me of the people running this [agnostic.com]

2

I am sorry this happened. Please report them as scammers so admin can get them out of here.

I'm a big breasted blonde who is in love with you, but I need money before we can be together forever.
scam alert!

Wait until you get to 'my stage of life'. In over a year of being on this site I have not had one female scammer. Of course there have been a few Libertarian scammers.

A good points, age (experience) does refine our BS detectors - - to a point - -

Oh please be careful Julius. I am so sorry you had this experience. Genuine people do not want anything from you except friendship

Scammers get in here. I had several before meeting Dan. Best advice-talk to higher level members Level 5 minimum. Scammers will not make the effort to get there. Also the Singles/Mingle/Chatroom is a good way of meeting. It's how Dan and I met.

I have been single for 50 years, have been on the Internet and dating sites for 25 years and I learned early on how scammers work. I typed and saved a text file and simply copy and paste it in any chat when someone asks for money. If you abide by this rule, you will never get scammed. Feel free to copy and use it if you like.
"I have one strict rule when I am on the Internet. I will NEVER, under ANY circumstances, send money or gifts to ANYONE for ANY REASON".

The above is great advice - I wound up with my own version.
I never give money to someone I haven’t met in person.

One of the things about being a musician is they know l don't have a lot of money, so they leave me alone. That and l am old. Maybe it is just because l am old. 🙂

It’s called the internet ? it’s the same reason some dude from Africa sends guys a friend request with a very busty model named Tiffany and when you the picks there’s 30 of Okbuko flashing peace signs and mean mugging outside of a favela along with 20 other dudes that are in no way “ Tiffany “

I can’t explain why people do certain things. Unfortunately there seems to be scammers on all social networking sites. All you can do is be aware, protective of your private info and report/block them.
Sorry it’s happening to you.. as it has to a lot of us. The point system helps a lot, so be wary with the newer members.

This! Their impetus is to get hold of your money or passwords in any way possible. Protect yourself and be wary.

@PalacinkyPDX Certainly that's possible. However, speaking from experience, this site is replete with scammers and bots. But I could be more generous in my statements.

2

Goes with the territory! If someone asks you for money it is likely a scam and not an in need woman or man so stay away.

2

Make sure you report them as scammers so they can get rid of them from the site.

Donotbelieve says that to all the guys. You'll get used to it.

Now that's kinda funny

@Donotbelieve We (those that have been here a while) all know you are beyond reproach.

@Donotbelieve I have consistently found you to be one of the highest quality posters on these pages.

@Donotbelieve Not necessarily, I didn't assert (in this argument) that the bar of quality for all other posters was exceptionally hight. (although, in reality, for many, this may be the case)

@Donotbelieve Ah, the big brother thing. LOL.

@Donotbelieve Success is yours.

@Donotbelieve I am just playing. Absolutely no harm meant at all.

@Donotbelieve an older brother would be more protective I suppose, and less needlesome. I would not tease without affection.
