@Naeem the trains are better in NYC, research train lines and neighborhoods. I lived off the 6 line, it was a rough area a few years back and was in the Bronx. Queens near the 6 line puts you right in midtown, Brooklyn is nice but expensive and LI and SI take for EVER to get to. You can also take ferries in from northern NJ or from the Amtrack lines if you work in the heart of the city.

It’s way more gentrified these days.

@Sadoi nra formula always been when there is a gun problem... throw more guns to the problem. That makes me feel safe. I think I already did the tale of my deceased brother in law that checking his coats when he died (and that new yorker had too many of them). We found an automatic .cal 45. My sister didn't knew nothing about. We just laughed because that was like him. "The gun was in the coat when he bought the coat"... he will say. Sounds as bad as San Francisco. A lot of my family resides there. I am a californian and the cost of living in our cities is pretty astonishing as well.

If you NEED a car it’s basically the same cost as rent to park in Manhattan. Queens is very doable parking though.

Scottdale, PA small cute town in Pa, kind of quaint, very little crime rate. We get snow, but not as much as you! So many interesting things to do Pittsburgh is only 30 miles away! Plus we have the mountains very close. They ski.

Dang! sounds like he's moving in to a war zone! I was saying in the above post that San Francisco is pretty costly too. A lot of my family is in the bay area. My mother is from Monterey and its hellishly expensive there as well. My uncle is in Halfmoon Bay and its reaaally expensive there.

@Sadoi Halfmoon Bay and San Francisco are two of my most favorite places on this planet. The only reason I never moved there is because there's no way in hell, short of hitting the lottery, I could ever afford to live there. Love Monterey, too.

@KKGator I had the opportunity to relocate to those cities but I stuck to my hometown of Morro Bay/San Luis Obispo on the California Central coast (wine country) until I went away for graduate school and later moved to Michigan when I currently reside.
