What are you looking forward to in the New Year? I have a new job opportunity that I am excited about; passed my online assessment and a preliminary phone interview. I have a face-to-face interview January 3rd.
Out with the old, and (hopefully) in with the new!!

Im looking forward to being done hauling trash out of this zombie house I've been rennovating, and being able to do repairs/get it looking like an actual home.

My ex bf snd I renovated my home a few years ago. It was a challenge, to say the least. If I never step foot into Home Depot agsin it'll be too soon!
Best of luck.

Just finished writing a computer program that makes learning complex things easier, with a quiz-maker included, so plan on putting it to good use . . .

  1. the christmas season will FINALLY be over.

  2. my insurance will now include rides to the health club. it has paid for the membership but not to GET me there.

  3. social security gave me a cost of living raise so welfare took that out of my food stamps, so i am looking forward to having no raise at all.

I'm looking forward to the probate being finished so I can put my house on the market and hopefully sell and make a little money on it. I have been looking into building a tiny house for me and my two dogs, and my youngest son is going to buy some land in Needville, here in Texas so we can both put our homes on it. This house is just to much for me to handle on my own so I think this is my best plan.

@MissKathleen yes! and my two youngest grandchildren too. I'm pretty sick of living in a neighborhood with the HOA and their bullshit rules, so this will be a very welcome change for me. Just hope I can afford it all. Time will tell......

My mom sold the house dad built and enjoyed her 13 years in a senior community

@GreenAtheist Well, I'm only 65 so I don't think I'm ready for the senior community just yet. LOL

@Redheadedgammy age 50 is the cut off unless one is disabled

Best of luck.

Look forward to selling my home of 20 plus years and moving ahead with my life with Dan. No more drama.

Although I don't place any special emphasis on the start of a new year, there are things over the next several months I'm looking forward to:

  • I'm intent on doing more volunteer mediation work — taking on more challenging cases, engaging in a greater variety of case types, and possibly training for restorative practices.
  • Unless my mediation schedule and training is too busy, I'm planning to become a literacy volunteer later in the year when the local literacy volunteers organization facilitates training.
  • A friend and former coworker is a newly sponsored initiate of the Rotary Club, and my former supervisor is an established member. I'm waiting to hear from my friend whether it's a worthwhile membership with a genuine focus on community service and, if so, inquire further and secure sponsorship.
  • I'm looking to develop my professional persona more fully, more clearly defining my skill stack and preparing marketing tools and materials so I'll have a fallback plan if/when my current employment situation deteriorates.

I am looking forward to moving to a different house and a new job. I currently drive 45 minutes one way to work every day for the last 5 years, and it has gotten old.
So I like to buy a home (since I am renting) in the same county I live in. After that, find a job super close to my home.

Best of luck!
