@Heidi68 after working as an electrical engineer for the past 10 years, I learned that about people very quickly in the early part of my career.

When at a cafe and look at the menu, I always tell the waitress that mine is printed upside down and I need another.

I think that one is for australia. Did you buy it direct from china?

The one pictured is definitely NOT meant for Australia, we have them with the switches at the top and the sockets at the bottom with the active terminal on the left, the neutral on the right and the earth on the bottom of the power socket.

The standard home electrical outlet in Australian homes, etc. 3 pin socket, light switch in the centre.

@Anonbene What's so weird about it, it's a 3 pin socket and a light switch used for 240volts, 50hz electricity, single phased as used in almost every Australian home.
