Just curious what everyone is doing on a Monday night New Years Eve. Has is changed any from last year? What do you want to see happen this year?

All the trump family members wearing orange jumpsuits....

I'm making pumpkin custard using my grandmother's pumpkin pie recipe. The secret is 1/2 teaspoon of mace. It's a spice from Indonesia, guys. Similar to nutmeg. I will top the custard with nonfat Greek yogurt instead of whipped cream.

Will watch a movie tonight and enjoy one shot of Glenlivet single malt scotch. I don't like alcohol much because it dehydrates me and give me a headache.

What I want in 2019

  1. Trump indicted.

  2. STOP Trump's push to open up the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling. Trump has approved a rushed timeline. This winter, oil-company prospectors hope to conduct seismic testing on the coastal plain, which involves driving over the tundra in 90,000-lb. thumper trucks and sending up to 62,000 pounds of peak force into the ground in hopes of finding an oil deposit.

This is a problem for threatened polar bears that make their dens in the snow. It will drive polar bears out of their dens, causing babies to die.

Also, the caribou herds' calving grounds within the proposed drilling area are sometimes just eight miles wide. Build infrastructure there and the herd could be forced out, causing a drastic decline in calf survival rate.

If cops would indict the illegal aliens who have harmed thousands of us I would be happy TrumpOLINI is indicted for cheating workers owed money on his towers...but folks never want Billary for her thousands of felony secrecy law crimes

Making death by chocolate macaroons tomorrow. Would gladly swap some for your pumpkin pie and top it off with a hike.

@Healthydoc70

Yum! Coconut and dark chocolate are a delicious combination. Swoon.

2018 was the year I finally realized I don't need a male partner to have a fully vibrant life, and I don't need to socialize with friends on every occasion. It's okay to enjoy some time alone doing whatever I please, so that's what I will do.

It's still afternoon here, so will likely take a walk up along the shoreline, passing by the popular watering holes and sit on my favorite log on the beach, to watch the colors change in the sky at dusk.

Then I'll probably come back home and pick out a movie or series on Amazon Prime to watch. I'll likely go out on my lanai at midnight, as many folks around here set off fireworks and shout "Happy New Year" anyway, so instead of having that annoy me in bed, I'll step out and join them.

I know there are several NYE parties going on, some within walking distance of my place, but I'm happy to have a quiet evening in this year.

I have a girlfriend this year, so yes, it has changed.

Lucky lady

2018 was a terrible, horrible, very bad year. I'm going to relax at home tonight. I'm going to do everything in my power to make 2019 a good year.

3

Making turkey soup and working on a painting.

3

I want to see the collapse of the European Union.

3

Absolutely nothing has changed. Maybe 2019 I'll find a girlfriend...or just friends...or 1 friend....maybe

Just another day. 🙂

I'm watching Planet of the Apes!

Find someone compatible and physically attractive to date, even if it doesn't end up long term, tho I hope it would. Not holding my breath. What am I doing? I'm watching a Twilight Zone marathon on TV and feeling bummed that for a lot of years until a few years ago, my late wife and I would spend this night together with three other couples who all met around the same time my wife and I met and kept up the tradition for 20 years. It sucks to be in a couples world. All but one of my friends is married. Last year was the same for me. My wife was in her final year of suffering from dementia and she died two years ago next Sun..

Thanks for asking Misty.

Don't take statins. ..great for heart tissue bad for brain tissue

@GreenAtheist Those were not the cause of her dementia. Hers, like that of most people, was genetically inherited, in her case from her mother and grandmother. She never took a statin in her life. Unless caused by a stroke or head injury, most dementia is a family disease, including Alzheimer's. The only way to prevent it is not having kids. Fortunately, she never had any.

@TomMcGiverin yes centuries of dementia were inherited like Kreutzfeld Jacob. ...nonetheless MAD Cow disease came from eating sheep brains and statins are causing the epidemic of Alzheimers new to known family histories without it

Tough year last year. I'll be working hard to make 2019 better. ?

2

Not doing much of anything for New Years Eve. No money. No honey.

What I'd like to see in 2019:

  • Trump Indicted
  • Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin reunited
  • All of my student loan and other debts settled
  • Million dollar homes and super model wives for all of my friends
  • A nice little beach house in Phuket to live out the rest of my days
  • A permanent place to live for all homeless people
  • A loving family for all animals living on the streets and in animal shelters
  • Star Wars and Star Trek back on the rails.

Just a few modest items, I know. But I'm a simple kinda guy.

2

Nothing at all. New Years eve is just as irrelevant to me as July 4th.

2

Last New Years Eve was not good but didn't suck so much as New Years day when my love died. This year I'm alone.

I'm sorry, I know how hard that can be. I hope your next year is better.

I hope next year is much better!

Yes it's been 13 months on agnostic land here last year was horrible with illegal aliens trying to kill me ....stay strong and say no if the slice & dice boys are billing for "preventive" surgery

@GreenAtheist thanks. I just feel the hormone blockers are working. Why remove my breast? I like it. But they tell me I will die without mastectomy and radiation. But I will also die with it. I've got.more important things to do than go through all that torture.

@MojoDave I'm certain it will be. 🙂

I can relate and I'm so sorry you're widowed and fighting cancer. I hope your health improves somehow. Suffering just sucks and has no purpose when you know this life is it. I'm so sick of it happening to good people, including you and me, when so many rich evil folks just live on blissfully.

@TomMcGiverin sometimes death is painless and unexpected. ...my Teri died sitting in lotus position watching the movie I bought her. ...low pulse low blood oxygen low respiration CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE kills silently during the last REM dream sleep my dad died @ home that way refusing the NITRO PATCH that hurt on his chest. ...I grieve and mourn no matter what the cause what the pain level 0-10 sucks 100% who miss loved ones. ...we should all fight for full funding of death prevention research so all of us can live free of poison war and rape

@TomMcGiverin sorry to hear about your big c too. But it is what it is. Life is worth living 🙂

@confidentrealm You may have misunderstood me. I don't have cancer, neither did my late wife. She had dementia for several years before dying two years ago. I miss her and really enjoyed being married. Am not enjoying being widowed after getting married relatively late. Your attitude is wise.

Avoiding the masses and their messes. So, absolutely nothing! ...least nothing out of the ordinary ~

Happen? ...most of it wouldn’t be legal, or ethical 😉

2018 was a good year, and I'm hoping 2019 continues the trend. I'll be having some bubbly and streaming fireworks displays.
