Can someone recommend a good movie to watch on Netflix or Hulu tonight. It's raining and I've made a pot of chili. It's a good movie night.

Yesterday I started watching the new Netflix show "Everything Sucks!" for a little light entertainment, but it was surprisingly good..almost as good as "Atypical."

I ended up binge-watching through it last night and it was good to the end.

Do not watch "45 Years!" It was terrible. I am having a hard time finding anything good on Netflix right now. Sorry.

The Notebook, The Godfather one and two, Cat on a hot tin roof. Some of my favorite movies.

Saving Forrester with Sean Connery is a great story and well done. I am watching on Roku's new channel.

Californication if you like David Duchovny.

"NELL" with Jodie Foster if you have not seen it. have a dry crying towel if you watch it.

I saw but it was a long time ago.

I recommend the series Ozark. Really well done, as well as Altered Carbon.

@evestrat He is really good in that series, and he directed too!

chili? Dead Man or Blazing saddles.

Classy choices! Blazzing saddles cause that's Mel Brooks - Dead Man is another kettle of fish entirely - Neil Young's music and the black and white photography are great but the real skills is to actually pull off this bizarre film and make it work - which Jim does splendidly! Quirky like a box of chickens and all the better for it

I saw Blazing Saddles after smoking pot (weed now) at the theater when it first came out. I thought I was literally going to die from laughing.

If you're in the mood for low-budget and quirky (but well done) look up on starring Henry Rollins titled "He Never Died" that I think is still on NetFlix. Its an interesting monster movie twist. And I think one titled "Tucker and Dale Vs Evil" is still in the NetFlix rotation. Its an interesting variation on the teen-aged slasher genre.

Henry Rollins pops up all over the place but I remember him in a doco called West of Memphis about the dubious (to say the least) conviction of three teenage boys - the so called West Memphis three - of the murders of four boys in the 90's - Now our biggest film maker from NZ - Peter Jackson - who did Lord of the Rings - grew up ten minutes from where I sit - him and his partner Fran Walsh donated millions to the defense fun to clear those boys.

If you’re interested in a well made series on the awkwardness of the teenage psyche, check out “The End of the F@#ing World” on netflix

"Sausage Party." It's about atheism and has sexual innuendos.

If with girls/women, and need a good laugh at old people trying to be normal - try Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton in Something's Gotta Give. Grace and Frankie are fun - a series. (I am old - thus my recommendations are appropriate for me - not you, perhaps. Well, if your parents drive you nuts - these may be cathartic.

I'm getting pretty old myself. I've seen the ones you mentioned. Something's Gotta Give was great!

I loved the movie 'something's gotta give'. So funny. I do not know what it is but every time Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing, or the Godfathers Series is on, I will watch that also. I also liked Dancing with Wolves, Wind Talkers, I shouldn't mention this, but the series The Walking Dead on AMC I watch almost faithfully, even reruns. Some I missed. I do not like the blood and gore, but find it interesting just what would happen in a situation like that.

Depends on what you are looking for. A great environmental documentary is "Terra" on Netflix.

The Prestige, soooo good.

I've seen, and loved it.
