Just as we have a president who abuses his power, the Repubs elected a Senate Majority Leader who does the same. The system that lets this happen is woefully broken.

@Marine Yeah, that really pissed the repubs off bad. They swore they would get even, and they almost did with Clinton. Impeached him but didn't remove him and that got their anger up too. They are simply an angry scared group of people.
@Marine We never impeached Nixon (much to my regret), but we would never have forced him out of office without Republican support. That's what's different today -- in 1974 there were enough Repubs who stood for their country first and when Nixon realized that he knew he had no choice but to resign. Today they just haven't a single shred of decency -- bought and paid for, the lot of them!

He is also scared about his re-election prospects. His poll numbers in Kentucky are not good. Maybe, just maybe, those people in Kentucky who always voted for him simply because of the R behind his name are growing some brains!!

@jerry99 they also have a lot of NON voters just like here in Texas. Maybe enough of them have awakened and will register and vote. One can only hope.
