If police always did the right thing, we'd all still trust them. No one ever wrote a song called "F*ck The Fire Department".

That's an interesting observation, but it's not the Fire Department's job to figure out who or what started the fire, they just put it out and safe anyone trapped inside. If there was an arsonist that would be the polices job and that's where the problem lays is the police gets to decide and judge, and can be wrong about who started the chaotic act.

It is understandable though, as the police become more militarized, even the military, who are also trained to discern which people from a crowd might be of concern or who they are looking for, have expressed concern that the police are not trained for the amount of force their gear is designed for and is creating a real life "Stanford Experiment" with power being abused.

Watching shows with police actions in the US is scary- they are shouting like barking dogs and they use a tazer on people in cases where it is totally unfounded in my opinion.

Traumatizing the citizens of a country like that is going to divide and create exactly what we are seeing in the US- anger and resentment, trauma, divisions of people and combine that with job loss- nothing to do, nothing to take pride in, no hope for the future- you have a ticking timebomb.

Look at Detroit- so much awesome things happened there with the auto industry even a whole magical genre of music came out just for it and it had it's own magical style- and now- it's so sad

I feel like I want to make a meme to your post as a quote though, may I? I can put your name to the quote if you like you can PM me that- I won't make it if you don't want me to though)

No need to credit me with it. I actually looked and I found a song called "Fuck The Fire Department" does exist. It's a spoof but, obviously that means I can't be the first one who's had this thought.

Unfortunately , not all members of the human race are honorable and , sometimes they make bad decisions , and sometimes mistakes are made , and , I think , sometimes the training they receive , and the work they do on a daily basis , colors their perceptions . They do a hard job , more than I could do , However , I do feel that postman , meter readers , and others deal with dogs on a daily basis , without the need to shoot family pets. Police deal with more of the criminal element , than most of us will ever meet . They deal with more violent situations than , we'll ever have to deal with . I'm reasonably certain , they deal with more adrenalin , than we ever will . I'd love to see things improve , but we can't condemn the entire workforce for what a few do wrong .

I hear you. Just remember that 99% of what I post here shouldn't be taken too seriously. Most of the time my stuff is intended to have a humorous effect. It doesn't always work that way but, it's intended.

Thanks, now I'm trying to figure out a rap about the fire dept. Maybe from the fire's point of view lol.
