What I love about the Agnostic community. You can be in an epic debate with someone one day but siding with them a different.
It is truly a fine quality of a critical freethinker to hold ideas separate from the person.
I won't and don't block someone just because they keep disagreeing with me. I will always block if they personally attack me on the boards.
I’d like to think that was a universal truth here, but sadly I’ve found a few who don’t follow that philosophy. There are also quite a few who seem to block others with opposing views...not exactly using critical thought, rather more like a knee- jerk reaction.
I've found that most of the time the conversations are good and points of view are stated without a lot of ugly. There are a few though that take their little selves right out of the conversation if a lot of people on the thread don't agree with their argument. I've blocked a few who were abusive in their language toward me but that's the only reason.
@Redheadedgammy I have had a couple of abusive posts....I haven’t blocked, just ignore their posts completely.
@Marionville There are several that I just ignore as some of the stuff they post is so inane and not worthy of reading. Those that get real ugly and even send private messages to continue their abuse will be blocked.
@Redheadedgammy That is perfectly reasonable.
@Redheadedgammy That is absolutely the best reason and use of the block button.
No one needs that.
Yes if you are a critical freethinker you tend to respect other critical freethinkers and accept the differences. It is not for nothing that the word dogma is usually included in the same sentence with the word religion. The less evidence based the view point the more you get into shouting loud to make it ?
We have a few snowflakes here. Don't let them fool you.
They blocked me already. lol
@Biosteelman Buahaha! ? ?
