People are always telling me that they want me to be on the same page. Personally, I'd rather be with someone who's read the book, so they can prepare me for what's coming.

Yah, but they want you to be on their page not your own. Say thank you but you are busy with your own page at the moment and will eventually get to their page in the very far away future.

That's a problem because people usually don't want to listen to the experience other people have under their belt. I'm fine with it these days but at my age it's a bit late in the day.

Yah, me too. I wish I knew now what I knew then... but I actually like getting insight from others at this point, where I didn't before.

I've come to the conclusion that learning the hard way is a waste of time.
