I rarely listen to old stuff really. I do from time to time but mostly I'm always looking for something new I missed.

My sister calls my taste in music "childish." I grew up with AC/DC, Van Halen, Nazareth. But I also loved Abba (don't tell anyone) Donna Summer, Adam and the Ants, B52s, and all kinds of bands like that. I still love those bands. Now I like NIN, Rob Zombie, but I also like Usher, Beyonce, Abba (again, don't tell anyone), and I have always loved Disney music, and Disney has a lot of their tweener stars redo some of their old songs, and their arrangements are phenomenal. Selena Gomez has one of the best versions of Trust in Me (from the Jungle Book) I've ever heard. And Abba (but don't tell anyone). So yah, my sister says my taste in music is childish. But what would she know, she listens to Nickelback.

Yup. I just listen to streaming music on [accuradio.com] and choose my genres as the moods hit me.

I love all the different music that the internet allows me to try, vs being tied to some radio station's play list. My kids (ages 22 and 19) and I are road tripping to hear Panic! at the Disco and Twenty One Pilots live (separate shows). Both kids are constantly turning me on to something new.

Musical taste is highly subjective.
There's more of what is "popular" now that I don't like, than that which I do.
I don't seek out new music. If I come across something new that I like, I'm
usually surprised.

Most modern music to me, sounds like someone banging two garbage can lids together.
