Sundays are such poo, laundry, work prep and shopping. Tescos is like heroin and I don't want to go. People very rarely do god here so its either sport stuff or drinking. I am not really into either. Its also going to snow. Blurgh...
I broke my arm about a year ago so I couldn't really carry any messages. I thought about getting taxis to and from the shop. It turned out Tesco delivered and it was much cheaper and easier than a taxi. I use them all the time now for the heavy stuff even though I pay a bit extra and I get the other bits and bobs as I go along.
I don't mind the going out. Its the whole 'encountering normal humans'. It bothers me. Problem is in Accie normal is going to the supermarket in jim jams at 3pm and buying up all the whoopsies and 24 cans of wife beaters (stella). Such a salubrious area.
...and here I’ve envisioned England as this cozy little enclave of charm & sanity.. ‘Sports,’ damn. Today’s our Stupor Bowl ..for which I’m one of very, very few who actually takes pride in not knowing who’s playing
You must not get snow often, seems something to ..kinda look forward to. I’d need some nature to escape into, any of that? I’ve been researching a motorcycle, a Royal Enfield, that was first released in the UK. I’ve now watched hours of guys riding them down the prettiest narrow backroads ‘over there,’ if on the wrong side of the boulevard
Shoot - I’m working tonight, starting a 9 pm! ..but get Monday off ~
Lovely. Yes there are tons of beautiful places, especially here. Unfortunately there is only me to wash clothes etc etc...
You make it sound worse than going to church! Tesco is bad any day of the week, but I do avoid it on Sundays, maybe a trip to Waitrose will lift the spirits....even if it means the wallet will take a bigger hit!
I actually loved church, it was fun and the vicar had badly fitting dentures which fell out when he talked. Plus this is UK and CofE, no one really takes it seriously.
As the joke goes. Sainsbury's is a very important supermarket. It keeps the riff-raff out of Waitrose.
Try Morrisons.
Any of them
@Amisja Actually I like my trips to Morrisons, ours is in the country so a nice drive to get there on country roads, and there is a great garden centre accross the road where they do good meals at amazing prices. NO! what have I said, its the whole January/February thing, I need to get out more!
