These are never reported in the news. Trump demonizes minorities and the trumpets just believes everything he says.

With only a couple of minutes Googling I found several references to the 2013 story. For what it's worth, this was the most credible looking to me. (I'm not sure how it relates to tRump though.).
The two men seem to have been lauded somewhat (deservedly) (after their efforts).
