A few years ago I had a job where my manager was in the Minneapolis area. I was there in January. I was IMPRESSED at how fast they got the snow off the roads. Talk about proactive and organized.
We kind of have to or else we get buried. ?
I lived in New England for a while and snow became a way of life. Now that I’m further south, it’s full on freak out with an inch of snow. Not exaggerating.
Schools close. Government offices have delayed openings. Friends try to discourage me from “going out in that storm.”
We've had tons of ice/freezing rain/sleet. I'd be thrilled with snow; at least you can get that out of the way. But ice doesn't really give you a fighting chance.
Before these last few snows we had about an inch of freezing rain. Not fun.
