Yesterday I had a debate with a flat earther in which I told him to go have a look at a globe map in library, school or office. He came back at me with the usual 'brain dead' drivel . Here was my response.
"Well FEC. That put you in a very defensive mode. To me that's a sign of intellectual weakness. And yes, I have carefully read your last comments. And you do have an agenda, The agenda is to push the medieval/Biblical view of the earth either for religious reasons or otherwise. Even perhaps to create mischief. And some of those comments of yours a breathtaking in their ignorance (or is it arrogance) This one for example " -- my well researched and thoroughly documented conclusions supported by centuries of scientific data and experiment" Who do you think you're kidding ? As for scientific data and experiment. The very nature of the closed minded flat earth mentality negates anything remotely scientific. The claim that flat earthers have an open mind is better described as a 'hole in the head' You, and others like you complain how you are being abused and mocked. Well that's because you are making 'brain dead' comments on face book. I suggested to you to go have a close look at an actual globe map and if you actually did, the evidence for the reality of the global (spherical) would have been staring at you in the face. But of course you reject this, That's because you have an agenda of ignorance. Oh, and there's another choice comment of yours right at the beginning "--- freely sharing knowledge" Well that's a bit rich. More like freely sharing misleading and deceitful ignorance. And what makes it worse , it's willful ignorance. So don't be such a sookie bubba when others make fun of you"
I really enjoy 'locking horns' with these people, It hones up my typing and commenting skills. FEC (Flat Earth Crush) has a Utube site where he posts his view of the world around him. ?

I had one of. My Facebook page, I tolerated it as long as possible until 2 days ago. They came up with some bull about atomic bombs and nuclear waste and the runoff from the power plant on Tokyo. It's all lies. I messed up and said Einstein would have something to say about this. They went off on me saying Einstein was a moron, just ask tesla and before it was over with it was brain dead because I drank water with fluoride in it. All this in addition to the school shootings being fake, all of them, and paid actors and polio won't hurt you. I had to block them.

Here's irrefutable truth the Earth is round: If it was indeed flat, cats would have pushed everything off the edge by now.

I've debated with religious people and creationists but have yet to come across a flat-earther. It seems that they would have better arguments for such a silly claim but I guess not.

@Reignmond I would advise against it if you're an atheist. People around here treat me like a leper when they find out.
For a “flat earth” believer, the globe is by definition a conjecture. I suppose its easy to doubt the early explorers (Magellan Drake etc.) but how do such people explain the thousands of air flights in progress as I type that could not possibly reach their destination on a flat earth? I guess I haven't crossed paths with someone that closed minded. Hope I never will.

They will tell you the pilots are in with the government to push the round ball idea. They all are graduates of utube university.
Flattards believe planes can fly almost anywhere except over the North Pole or the South Pole (which is actually where the done and flat earth meet), and of course, they can't get beyond the dome (or as they call it, the firmament).
Tell him to find the tallest building and jump off it, join the flat earth society!!!!

I don't see how a globe proves that the earth is spherical. I would've referred him to pictures from space, the fact that when ships sail out of sight, they disappear from bottom to top, and during a lunar eclipse the curvature of the earth is clearly visible as it's shadow falls across the moon.

I think we should tell flat-earthers that there is a HUGE investment opportunity to build hotels on the edge of the earth. What a great view! I wonder how many would bite. LOL.
