So I have a great tech tip for anyone that might want this.
Trying to click all over the place to get to whatever settings you might want, which can be a pain.
This will make all of that obsolete.

oh, and this will work on everything from win7 through win10. I'm not sure if it will work on earlier versions because I don't have any of those to try it on.

Anyway. all yo have to do is go to desktop, right click anywhere, and click, new, then folder. it doesn't matter what you call it because you are going to change the name in the next step.
so once you have the folder, right click on it and click "rename". Paste this in there. Godmode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} Make sure that you have the whole line from the capital G, to the last } once you do that the folder will look like the "controll pannel" icon. click on that icon, and it opens up every tool, (some not even shown in controll pannel) right there ate your command. No more searching for what ever tools, they are all right there. Hope this helps any one who might need it.

And no, before anyone even asks, it's not a hack, or click bait, it actually works, I use it all the time.

Finding God mode on the agnostic site, not what I expected.

actually the name doesn't have to be that, you can name it anything, you just have to have the whole
{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} after it.

and the only reason I named the folder "godmode", is because it's a gamer reference, accessing the "cheat" menu in games is usually called "godmode" I didn't name it that because of any entity.

@TristanNuvo No, no - I think it's the Perfect Name and the absolute right place to find it. LOL
Thanks.

@TristanNuvo, @scurry Totally cool with the name. Yes, it's perfect.

I use this and have for a long time. It puts everything together for you and makes lots of computer work simple.

What I really need right now is something that will update my Internet Explorer to the latest version. Nothing works. I have Windows 7 SP 1 with all of the updates on a 32 bit system. Any attempt to take IE out of version 8 and into 10 or 11 ends up saying I need an update. Sorry, I have all the updates. Nothing works (disc, USB, or offline) and my IE update fails every time. Internet searches show I'm not alone and some ideas of system restore, etc. I'm not even going to attempt. I need working advice and not something that takes away my programs.

Microsoft, themselves, say not to use Internet Explorer. They've admitted it's broken.

@david75090 I use Firefox with a Google base but I wanted to update IE simply because it is the thing to do. IE8 cannot be used coz it's too old. My obcession is probably because IE is the heart of the operating system. It's not just "another program" as many think. Even if my update succeeded I would continue to use Firefox.

That is cool. Lot to take in at a glance. It will require looking into.

It doesn't seem to work on my iPad.
?

Sorry, as far as I know it only works on Windows, but I'm looking into Apple OS to see if there is one for that. If I find something, I'll post.

@TristanNuvo thanks, but I was just joking.

Sweet! Thank you! 🙂

Thank you!

Love the God Folder... At least, that's what I named mine 😛

Nothing for us Mac users?😟

Sorry. To be honest, My field has been predominantly Windows, from win85, to present, and a bit of linux.

Honestly, I would love to know more about the Apple IOS. But I seem to always put that on the back burner.
But since you asked, I'll have to do some digging and see if there is something similar. If I do in fact find something, I will gladly give a shout back. 🙂

@TristanNuvo
Thanks- no worries-I haven’t turned it on in over a year anyway🙂

Nice one, that is very useful, cheers!

....and it works a treat! 🙂 🙂 🙂

I was in the IT field for quite a while, including a few degrees.
But with in that I have accumulated quite an array of other tech friends.
This tip came from one of them.
I usually don't get into tech conversations, but this one IMHO, is worth sharing, as it is simple to set up, and use.

I'm glad that it worked for you. if you ever have questions about the settings tool. just hollar.

@TristanNuvo My brother is the same, I expect he probably told me this sometime ago, but I didn't listen, I do recall 'God Mode'. I think he made it sound more complicated, whereas you described it short, sweet and clear.
It has opened up quick access to those hidden out the way settings, etc. So, once again Cheers! 🙂

@GothRik To be honest. the file name "godmode" is not what really matters, it's the{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} name thatis what matters. You could call the folder, whateverthefuck.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} and it will still work. But anyway, I'm glad it worked for you. For me I just find it so much easier to have all of those tools in one click.

@TristanNuvo ooh it's not god dependent! That's awesome.

@RavenCT You can all it, before the .{ anything you want, and it will still work. I just named it "godmode", because that is the most used term in most video game codes and such.
Perhaps in the future, I'll call it, "Greatspaghettimonsterinthesky.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}. perhaps that might piss off the IT gods,. lol. 🙂

@TristanNuvo I'm quite happy to call it 'God mode', I want my pc to obey my every command and not follow the wishes of that demon microsoft. I certainly hope it doesn't become an atheist and stop believing I exist, which it has from time to time 😉

@GothRik @TristanNuvo - well it works great! It's a nifty addition to my desktop I can tell you.

I'll have to look at some more - but not having to dig? That's going to be useful.

I wonder if my friend in IT knows about that one? I should send it to her. And frankly to everyone else. Yup I'll do that. FB it is. 😉 ❤

that IS cool! thanks!

I hope it works well for you.

cool will give it a try

Cool. Where the tool tip I gave gives every admin access to all tools, using those tools is a whole other ballgame.
Some are fairly straight forward, some need a bit of asking , or googling to understand. but I will always gladly offer what I know, should questions apply.
so By all means, if you ever have questions, just holler.
